Brett Larose ENC 1101 Section 15 Nathan Holic 10/26/2009 Discovery Assignment VII The front cover of a National Geographic magazine clearly portrays what many of its readers long for: adventure. Many readers are instantly intrigued viewing the cover, one of which has a gargantuan helicopter flying over the Mediterranean sea, hovering over clear blue waters. The headlines on the front cover, such as “Hanging with Highly Dangerous Lizards,” and “Wild Roads” offer many enticing articles that will offer readers to luxurious or suspenseful travel destinations around the world while in the comforts of their own homes, all while learning about the world around them. The front cover clearly depicts the audience’s aspirations: Knowledge and adventure. The Table of Contents begins on the 5 th page, and there are paragraph long descriptions for the feature articles. On the 6 th page, the table of contents has sentence long descriptions for the remaining articles. There are pictures of a cyclist riding their
