SER/Hist: TRINITY v HARVARD Economics Debate Wednesday, 3rd February, 7.45pm, GMB, organised jointly by the Student Economic Review and the College Historical Society. The motion is: 'This House Welcomes the Decline of US Economic Dominance', Chair: John Bruton, former Taoiseach and EU Ambassador to Washington, Chair of Adjudicators: Aine Lawlor, RTE Speakers from Trinity: Ruth Faller is a Senior Sophister law student. She was placed ninth at the World Championships in 2008 and was the top European female at the 2009 World Championships. She reached the finals of the Cambridge debating intervarsity, the Irish mace and several other tournaments and recently won the Durham Intervarsity. She is a former President of the University Philosophical Society. Séin Ó Muineacháin is reading for a PhD in Political Science, having a degree in Economics and Political Science. . He has represented Trinity against Yale, Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford, having won the 'best speaker' award on a number of
