Environmental Factors Checkpoint The four external environmental factors that help organizations achieve optimal functions are the following: 1. Economic Factors: economy plays a vital role in the success of an organization. The accessibility of and command from customers, clients, or consumers have an economic impact on a human service agency and are critical machinery of the task environment (Kettner, 2002). 2. Technological factors: technology is important in an organization because the level of technology determines the industrial productivity, new products, services, cost and accessibility of services. 3. Political and Professional Factors: examining the task environment of the nonprofit organization has a combination of both political and professional factors. The political factors consist of laws and regulations obligatory from a federal or state.
