Sexual Abuse History Sexual interactions between adults and children have existed throughout history Terming it abuse is both time and culture bound Mitigating factors include, intent involved, age and/or power discrepancies between offenders and victims The fact of the matter is that children are incapable of providing informed consent to sexual interactions with adults
