Reading: Sections 8.4-8.5. You may find it interesting to read the optional Sections 8.6-8.7 on friction. Instructions This assignment is a tutorial on the material in Chapter 8, to prepare you to do analyses of this kind on your own in later homework and tests. For that reason you have three submissions for each answer box (not just each question). In other words, you can submit just the first answer box up to three times and get feedback each time, then submit the second answer box up to three times, etc. The first problem is broken down into very small steps to help you get started. The second problem requires taking some of these steps yourself. In the third problem you need to take most of the steps on your own. The due date for this assignment is past. Then a constant force of 10 N to the right is applied to block 2, and at a later time the blocks are in the new positions shown in the lower diagram. At this final time, the system is moving to the right and also vibrating, and the spring is stretched.
