Said: Largest sea vessel of its time) Argonauts: ‘all-stars’ Heracles Castor and Polydeuces Dioscuri: “Zeus’ boys” (Said: important later) Orpheus Cilais and Zetes (Boreads: sons of Boreas, North Wind) (Said: They can fly. Guess that comes in handy) Peleus (father of Achilles) (Said: Some woman tries to join, but Jason doesn’t think it’s a good idea, doesn’t go.) So Jason must be really awesome hero to be their leader, right? [wrong] (Shown: Vase with all the heroes on it) Voyage of the Argonauts (Shown: map of said voyage) Argonauts (sailor) go to Colchis as their end point Early Adventures The women of Lemnos The Argonauts service the sex-starved women They stay on Lemnos for about a year, then finally leave Heracles and Hylas
