Topics such as the balance of payments, interest rate parities, purchasing power parity, monetary approach to the exchange rate, and exchange rate overshooting will be covered in the first half of the course. The second half of the course focuses on economic policies such as stabilization policy under different exchange rate settings, the choice of exchange rate regime in the context of open economy macroeconomic characterized by the Mundell-Fleming Model.
