Andre Mallqui Chapter 10 Experiment 2 Questions:  Thoughts Out of Tune SEPARATE PIECE OF PAPER 1.  Who is the major researcher associated with the article? The major researcher in this article is Leon Festinger. 2.  What have studies continually shown happens when your attitudes are contrary to your  behavior.  What term relates to this? Studies had continually shown that opinion shift occurred as a result of mentally rehearsing the speech  and the process of trying to think of arguments in favor of the forced position. 3.  What was expected to happen when subjects were offered to be offered monetary rewards for  giving a convincing speech that was contrary to their views?  What were the actual results? The expected outcome was that the greater reward, the greater the resulting opiniong change in the  speaker.  However, the complete opposite occurred, larger rewards produced less attitude change than  smaller rewards. 4.  When the condition of cognitive dissonance exists, what condition does it create in the person
