Amber Alert The full form of an Amber is “America’s missing: broadcasting emergency response”, and the word Amber came for nine year old Amber Hagerman who was abducted and murdered in Arlington, Texas in 1996. An Amber Alert System is not any type of alarm that makes the noise, but it has been used for notifying about confirmed child abduction to the general public in the United States and Canada. Every state has different criteria to activate an Amber Alert System in the United States, and most of the time an Amber Alert System is very helpful to find a missing child, but it can be used wrong way too. An Amber Alert System is can be declared by the police organization only who investigate for the abduction, but the police become more cautious before issuing the system. They confirm that abduction has taken place and there must be sufficient descriptive information of child and captor or his vehicle. The police department meets quarterly to discuses or plan about the case, and they work together with broadcasters to get the information about a missing
