1 PGE 312 – SPRING 2007 Physical and Chemical Behavior of Petroleum Fluids I Test #2, 50 Minutes Closed Book Note: It will be in your best interest to attempt all the questions. Please budget your time accordingly. Problem 1 (30 points) Figure   1   shows   the   Pressure-Temperature   (P-T)   diagrams   for   various   petroleum  accumulations designated as A, B, F and D, relative to the initial reservoir temperature  and pressure (T res , P res ). Table 1 shows the fluid compositions of the four accumulations  arranged in no particular order. You are requested to match each fluid composition (Fluid  1, Fluid 2, Fluid 3 and Fluid 4) to the appropriate P-T diagram and then classify the  accumulation. Present your result by filling out Table 2.   Figure 1. P-T diagrams for various petroleum accumulations. C is the critical point and  T res  is the reservoir temperature and P res  is the initial reservoir pressure.
