PGE 312 - SPRING 2004 Physical and Chemical Behavior of Petroleum Fluids I Final Examination, 3 Hours It will be in your best interest to attempt all the questions. Please budget your time accordingly. 1. ( 25 points ) Figure 1 shows the Pressure-Temperature diagrams for various petroleum accumulations designated as A, B, F and D, relative to the initial reservoir pressure and temperature (P res , T res ). Table 1 shows the compositions of the four accumulations arranged in no particular order. You are requested to match each fluid composition (Fluid 1, Fluid 2, Fluid 3 and Fluid 4) to the appropriate phase diagram and then classify the accumulation. Present your result by filling out Table 2. Figure 1. P-T diagrams for various petroleum accumulations. C is the critical point and T res and P res are the initial reservoir temperature and pressure. 1
