MAE 101A - Syllabus Introductory Fluid Mechanics Winter 2010 Prof. Paul Linden Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Office: 556 EBU II Phone: 858-822-2274 Email: pflinden@ucsd.edu Course Description: This is the first of a two-course series in Fluid Mechanics. The principles of Fluid Mechanics will be discussed and fundamental techniques to study fluid motion will be introduced. Examples from engineering and natural applications will be discussed. Prerequisites: Math 20 E (vector calculus), 21 D (differential equations) or equivalent are required. Lectures: MWF 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM Linden: Center 212 Marsden: Center 214 Problem Session: Students from either section can attend any problem session or office hours.
