Skill 2 There are skills that people use every day and some that are used at certain times. Like people skills you can be polite, well mannered, and respectable but yet on the other hand you could be rude, obnoxious, and get on peoples nerves. Did you know that in a business you use people skills every day? It starts on the plant floor all the way up to the CEOs and in your social life also. People skills are a skill that I think a lot of people need to master. For example: you walk into an office to pay a bill and you are being polite and respectful, the person behind the counter is being rude and disrespectful. In my opinion the person behind the counter needed to fix her people skills. It does not matter if the person wants or does not want to be there. She needed to be respectful, understanding, and being polite. There are eight essential people skills and they are: understanding people, expressing your thought and feelings clearly, speaking up when your needs are not being met, asking for feedback from others and giving quality feed back in return,
