Week 3: Checkpoint: Kennedy’s New Frontier The term " New Frontier " was used in Kennedy's acceptance speech in the 1960's to describe his domestic program. This program was Kennedy's attempt to boost the United States economy which would increase the prestige of the United States throughout the world, by allowing the United States to do even more international aid. Some of the things Kennedy did to help the economy was to raise the minimum wage and worked on large companies to help stop monopolies. Kennedy also helped to improve healthcare and housing for the poor, as well as, laid the groundwork for Civil Rights. Out of all this hard work the Peace Corps was established to give humanitarian aid throughout the world....
