In think the term linear in linear algebra implies that most of the theorems discussed in this text
do not work for nonlinear algebra. Is there a mathematical branch that deal with nonlinear
algebra?
Good question. A lot of nonlinear problems remain as open problems. There are techniques for
solving nonlinear equations with specific conditions, but there are no general methods to deal
with nonlinear problems. A common technique is to first “linearize” the problem by
approximation.

Why is linearity so important beside it has many nice properties?
It is important because it has so many nice properties, so linear problems can be easily solved.
