My Desire to be an Omega Why do I desire to be an Omega? Well let me start off by saying that my passion for Omega goes far beyond explanation, so what I am about to say is only a miniscule portrayal of how I actually feel. Service is what I pride myself on. Being selfless, giving back to the community and those around that may be less fortunate then I. Not being afraid to reach out and help somebody, and not doing it with a hidden agenda, but solely because I care. When I leave this earth I want to be remembered for what I gave and how I helped this world, I want to be remembered for being a great man. So the reason I want to be an Omega is simply this: the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. always portray themselves to be, and I also think of them as, great men, the

A man who is his brother’s keeper and respects a woman to the upmost. A man who strives for excellence and will settle for nothing less. A scholarly man who uses his intellect inside and outside the classroom. A man who has a strong positive influence on everyone around him and his presence is felt if ever he walks into a room. I want to be an Omega because to me, an Omega is the epitome of a man and holds most if not all of the attributes that fits the criteria of being a man....
