As a Mental Health social worker a bachelor degree in social work or either a degree in psychology, sociology with license or a related field is the minimum requirement for this field of work. You can also earn your masters degree in order to receive an advance position. Some special qualifications for this job are that, [You] should be emotionally mature, objective, and sensitive to people and their problems. They must be able to handle responsibility, work independently, and maintain good working relationships with clients and coworkers. Volunteer or paid jobs as a social work aide can help people test their interest in this field (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2010).
