Healthy Eating 2 I know that my eating habits are not the greats but I am going to work on it. I will tell you how I plan to change my eating habits. I will talk about the way I eat now and what I have changed. I will list the nutrient-rich foods and the lack of nutrient foods that I consume. With my pyramid plan you will also is my physical activity. My diet compared to the recommendations that I received from the Food Guide Pyramid was not good. I already knew that my eating habits are poor. First I don’t eat as much and then when I do eat it is not all of the right foods. Per the dietary guidelines for grain I consumed an average of 4.2 ounces over a three day period. For the vegetable I consumed an average of four cups over a three day period. Fruit was 0.3 cup and milk was 0.8 cup over the three day period. Meat and beans was 9.6 ounces consumed for the three days (United States Department of Agriculture, 2005). I know to get the recommended servings for each food groups I first need to eat more. I need to make sure that I eat morning, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. I must eat seven ounces of grain a day. I need to have three cups of vegetable and two cups of fruit.
