I called the next plumbing service that we use and was able to get a plumber to start in 5 days. This pushes our time line back, taking up some of our slack allowance. Having slack in the timeline is for these reasons. We have no control over acts of nature, accidents, or the like. As the project manager, I need to allow for concerns that may arise. As I hope no concerns do come about, I know there are no guarantees. Project Team Issues 3 References Gonzalez, M. D. (2003, 10 1). The Scope Creep Shuffle .
