Employees’ Union Plan 2 As the supervisor of a manufacturing plant, it is my duty to mediate grievances with the union steward. I have a responsibility to the company, first and foremost. I also have to be concerned with the employees and their concerns. This is a very delicate situation for me and the union steward. As such, I propose the following guideline for bettering the relationship between the union and the company. 1. A weekly meeting is to be scheduled between the union steward and the supervisor. This will keep the lines of communication open and allow for minor disputes and grievances to be handled quickly and without incident. 2. Upon conclusion of the first meeting, the supervisor will meet with upper management to discuss any concerns that cannot be handled without prior authorization. 3.
