Elzin1 Fatima Elzin Michael Henry Philosophy 2240C 25 April 2010 Does Life Have a Meaning? A common question that has been asked redundantly is: does life have a meaning? Many have displayed their different views and opinions on this question. Personally, I believe that human life does have meaning, but it is not given. The answer to this question depends on the person, it is our job to go out and seek the true meaning of our lives. Every human views life differently and excels at different things, therefore having one set meaning for life is impossible. Many philosophers have agreed that the objective of life is to be happy, and most can agree on this aspect. But, the way in which we obtain happiness is different for all humans. Humans, when finding their true meaning of life, for example, helping others, a career choice, or leading a religious life, can lead to their own true happiness. For one person, being a doctor may be their true meaning of life- to help those that are sick or injured. But a robber cannot say that
