Abstract In lab experiment number three I determined the resistivity a reservoir fluid and bulk rock resistivity. Before I began lab experiment number three I wanted to know what was the purpose of measuring the resistivity of a reservoir fluid, and what assumptions can be made from the data obtained through experimentation. After a studying the results from my experiment, it shows that there is a distinct difference between the resistivity of a core fluid and the core sample itself.
