In lab experiment number five I determined the porosity, grain density, grain volume, and gas permeability of two core samples. Before I began lab experiment number five I wanted to know how accurate the readings were from the two core test apparatus, and what assumptions can be made from the data obtained through this experiment. After studying the results from my experiment, it shows that an increase in pressure from the core testing apparatus usually yielded an increase in flow rate along with an increase in permeability of the core samples. Throughout experiment number five I measured permeability with one core testing apparatus, and I measured porosity and grain density with another core testing apparatus which yielded some interesting results. 1
