In Lab number seven I performed a reservoir sand pack study where five different fluids where forced to permeate through a sand pack. Before I began lab experiment number seven I wanted to know which fluid would yield the highest percent of fluid recovery from the sand pack, and what assumptions can be made from the data obtained through this experiment. After studying my results from experiment number seven, I realized that some fluids permeated relatively slower through the sand pack than others. Also, certain fluids yielded a better percent oil recovery when forced to permeate through the sand pack. Throughout experiment number seven I forced five different fluids to permeate through a sand pack by using the metering pump, in order to study the reservoir production characteristics and secondary oil recovery techniques. 1
