According to my “ecological footprint” calculation if everyone lived like I do we would need 5.9 earths to provide enough resources. 2. 1 .I could lower how many animal based foods’s I consume on a weekly basis. 2. I could use more energy from renewable resources. 3. I could also use more public t ransportation instead of driving my gas guzzling car a ll the time 3. 1. The less beef you eat the less cows that have to be bread and the leads to less cow manure. 2. Another reason a person should not eat as much beef is because the manure from t he cows that do eat the grass on farm lands is a great fertilizer for producing higher quality organic food. 4. Not eating meat would only affect my footprint I believe in a negative way because after a while wouldn’t animal continue to breed and create off spring t hat would maybe cause an overpopulation of that animal. David Paz Project#2 Herbicide- A type of chemical pesticide that kills plants. Pesticide- An artificial chemical used to kill insects (insecticide), plants (herbicide), or fungi ( fungicide). The chemical arsenal we have developed in an attempt to r id our homes of rodents and our crop of insects is losing i ts power. We have simply caused pest populations to evolve, u nintentionally applying a rtificial selection i n the form of pesticides. Individuals with a h igher tolerance for our poisons survive and breed, and soon resistant individuals outnumber the ones we can control. ...
