Field Trip on Your Own David Paz BSC 1050 Project #1 Zoological Park Trip Part A. 1. Which Zoo park did you visit? Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Garden 2. Why are Zoological parks important to biodiversity? Zoos are important to biodiversity for a number of reasons but among the many reasons conservation and protection of endangered species is among the top main reason. Zoos also give scientist an opportunity to educate themselves with animal’s behaviors and basically how different animals react to different environments gives them the ability to learn how to help the endangered animal’s re-procreate and live longer. 3. What is this particular Zoological park known for (it’s specialty)? Well the Central Florida Zoo is known for its very diverse animal collection as well as for it’s beautiful and unique Botanical collection of plant’s from all over the world. 4. Write a short paragraph summarizing your trip. Well my trip was very fun I went with my girlfriend that really didn’t let me focus too much but for the most part it was a lot of fun to see all the different kinds of animals. I think of all that I saw my favorite would probably have to be the American Alligator I was stunned when I saw how enormous that

Field Trip on Your Own David Paz BSC 1050 Project #1 animal was, and when they told me it could grow to be even bigger I just couldn’t believe it! I felt like I was looking at a dinosaur. All in all it was a fun trip, and was well worth the drive I had fun and got to see a lot of really cool animals, and can’t wait to go back and maybe take my time and see everything I missed. Part B. Animal -1 1. What is the animal’s common name? Emu-Dromaius Novaehollandiae.
