fication: for 00Z to 12Z: 36 (No Precipitation) h for 12Z to 00Z: 59 (No Precipitation) Albany Weather Forecasting Forecast Forecast made for 00Z to 00Z November 3, 2008 Forecast: Low for 00Z to 12Z: 42 (0% POP) High for 12Z to 00Z: 63 (0% POP) I forecasted the low temperature Monday night looking at the GFS, NAM, and NGM. The GFS and NAM had temperatures around 39-40 degrees for the overnight period. The NGM was the only model that had a low temperature of 37. Judging by the forecasting history of all the models, the NGM has done significantly worse than the GFS and NAM, therefore, I leaned more towards their numbers. Both the GFS and NAM had broken to overcast cloud cover for the overnight period. I had them overlooking the fact that temperatures could hold steady in the low 40’s. I then in turn, had an increase in the daytime temperatures Tuesday. 850-mb temperatures were around 4°C at 12Z. The GFS and NAM both forecasted 850-mb temperatures at around 5°C to 6°C.
