Career Development Plan Summary 2 Career Development Plan Summary Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) was established in 1998 by Kathy Kudler. Kathy Kudler created KFF to provide a unique brand of quality organic foods for the communities in California. KFF first store to begin operation was La Jolla Store (Kudler, 2003). The La Jolla store is doing very well in the community in which it was established. Since the beginning of La Jolla store, additional gourmet stores were being approved for operations. As of now, there are three Kudler Fine Foods in full operation. Kathy Kudler is the sole owner of KFF. Kathy It has come to my attention that the team will be restructured. The following proposal includes a job description and qualifications, training program, method for evaluating employee and team performance, challenges of a team performance evaluation, incentive and benefits package, strategies for managing employee’s careers development and a compensation plan. The team will take on new responsibilities that require the hiring of additional personnel and training for new and current employees. The team also needs better methods for appraising the teams’ performance than have been used in the past. Job Descriptions and Qualifications: Manager: Responsible for providing effective direction and supervision for all store associates, assistant store managers, area managers and supervisors. (Specialty Retailers Inc, 1997-2008) Major Responsibilities Include: Maximize store sales and profit; meeting goals for sales, new accounts, payroll and expenses; development of staff ensure performance of store operations, customer service and satisfaction; maintain company standards throughout the store; protect company assets. Career Development Plan Summary 3 Customer Service Responsibilities: Ensure that all customers are greeted in a prompt and friendly manner; handle phone calls in a courteous and helpful manner; increase sales volume through informing customers of promotions and lead by example (Specialty Retailers Inc, 1997- 2008). Personnel Responsibilities: Recruit candidates for all positions; interview, screen and hire for all positions; complete and administer performance evaluations; use company training programs; and address poor performance and counsel as necessary (Specialty Retailers Inc, 1997-2008). Merchandise Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with signing guidelines; ensure stock keeping maintenance is followed and ensure compliance with merchandise presentation standards (Specialty Retailers Inc, 1997-2008). Operations Responsibilities: Ensure damages are completed according to procedure;
