Business Research Methods 2 Business Research Methods, III Learning Team C has researched the ratio of diagnoses to fatalities in relation to the amount of operating dollars spent, compared to other medical research hospitals over the last five years. The survey method used was telephone interviewing via CATI (computer assisted telephone interview), to ensure the anonymity of the participants, and the ease of data collection. While this method may be more costly than the normal telephone interview, and does have some drawbacks, it is the best suited method for the particular study. Using the CATI gave the team a better grasp on retrieving sound data. It also provided the best storing solution. for the data for the study. The benefits of automated data storage and time savings well out-weighed the cost of the CATI. The management dilemma was where the research began (Cooper & Schindler, 2008). The team formulated a management question to restate their dilemma, decided on the appropriate research design using a stratified sampling technique, and followed through with seven survey questions to ask the participants.
