Chromium 51 Release Assay for Measuring CTL Activity Load target cells with radioactive Cr 51. Add a source of mature CTLs to the wells containing the labeled target cells. Measure release of radioactivity into the tissue culture media. Increased radioactivity indicates that target cells have been killed and the radioactivity released.
