Purchase of New Equipment The current manual payroll process at Killarney Pool involves using paper and pencil to log and process payroll followed by the Aquatic Supervisor’s entering the hours into the electronic system SAP. This process results in a great waste of resources. To reduce paper waste and manual labour involved in processing and checking the payroll that is submitted by pool staff to the Aquatic Supervisors for checking and submission to Human Resources, Killarney Pool needs to purchase some hardware and software to update the current payroll system. The hardware required for Killarney pool is a micro-computer for auxiliary staffs’ access so that they can have a locked excel file by employee number to enter hours during the week. Killarney pool also requires a dual screen for the Aquatic Supervisor who enters time into SAP, running reports and checking variances from master schedule to hours actually worked. To provide Aquatic Supervisor with dual screen, Pool has to buy an extra monitor. Since the current operating system for the City of Vancouver is Windows XP and they are using Office 2003, we have proposed that they should update to Office 2007. This system includes
