Heather CameronENG. 2010March 30, 2020Draft: Persuasion Effect Project Child Effects OfPosition Argument:Every first-time parent comes across the question or concern of where to take their child during the day once he or she is born/adopted. I believe for the most part, parents truly want the best for their child. Yet, sometimes they aren’t knowledgeable about what is best for their child. Our society believes we can do it all. Have kids, while still perusing our career. It may not even be anoption for some but to work. The end results in the same thing repeatedly, whether the parent wants to work or has no choice but to work the child is left unloved in daycare. Why have kids if they are going to be somewhere left unloved and not attend for? Every parent should be informedabout the overall effect’s daycare has on a child. The issues of children growing up in daycare affect them well into their adult life. Children are supposed to be cared for by a loving parent who teaches them to love and to trust. From my personal experience of a mother who ran a daycare in our home all my life, I can promise you they are not getting important life tools of how to love and trusts. During my research on this topic I came across effective solutions for parents to understand the damage daycare is doing for their child. One of these solutions that I find most important is bringing awareness to the public and I believe this should start in hospitals. Hospitals should
bring awareness through flyers sent home with each new parent of the statics of raising your baby yourself compared to having daycare or someone other than the parent raise them.
