Zachary Murdock The time had arrived to begin signing up for clubs for my sophomore year of high school. Unfortunately, I could not decide what clubs to join. However, I did know that I wanted to apply for Key Club. I have always obtained satisfaction from helping others and participating in community service projects. I felt that joining Key Club would be an experience that would prove very meaningful to me for the rest of my life. As it turned out my feelings concerning Key Club were correct. Once accepted into the club, I began providing service to the community right away. My community service entitled me to coach a third and fourth grade boys’ basketball team at the local YMCA. At the time I felt both timid and excited about teaching these kids the game of basketball. It came time for the first practice and I felt more eager than nervous. However my excitement and my expectations may have been set too high for the first practice. Once the team arrived, I realized that they lacked basic skills and knowledge
