Now that you’ve collected your data and analysed your results, you are ready to discuss what it all means. You are also ready to prepare an abstract and present all the components you’ve worked on as a complete research report. CONFERENCE 5: Developing a Discussion Section In this conference you will learn how to write a Discussion section. This is where you discuss your findings in relation to your study hypotheses and also in relation to previous research (i.e., the studies you mentioned in your introduction section). In this section, you also address any strengths or weaknesses of the study, and you make recommendations for future research. In other words, given what you’ve found, what’s the next step? Where should we go from here? What, if any, are the practical implications of your study? This is a very challenging section because it requires a great deal of critical thinking. It
