The Notebook It cannot be said enough: communication is essential in healthy relationships! Nearly all relationships have some conflict. It only means you disagree about something, it doesn’t have to mean you do not like one another! I chose The Notebook, as an example of how even the most intense relationships aren’t perfect. The Notebook has quickly become my favorite movie. The story tells of Noah, a poor country boy, and Allie, a rich city girl, who fall in love when she visits for the summer. Noah and Allie, however, do not have the relationship skills to deal honestly with their class differences without fighting. In addition, Allie’s parents create a defensive climate and are less than enthusiastic about the couple’s romance. A week before they are to return home, they enforce their superiority and forbid Allie to see Noah. Noah outwardly resigns himself to her
