First of all, I understand and appreciate each member of this panel's service to the University as part of the Honor code system and I will respect your decision today. In summary, I am not here today to deny , avoid or make excuses for my action in violating the code. I recognize that what I did was wrong and that if we are to have an Honor code system at CU that means anything and is successful, that those people who violate it must suffer the consequences. Unfortunately, I am embarrassed to be one of those CU students. Nevertheless, I hope that this can be a learning experience for me and that perhaps I can use it to somehow help other CU student not follow down a path which would jeopardize our honor system. When considering my sanctions, all I would ask is a couple of things. ....1. my earlier offense involving the charge for plagiarism was in my first few weeks of college as a freshman and was certainly not a situation where I deliberately acted dishonestly. This was a situation which involved a freshman
