Pre-Lab Questions: 1) Standardization is the process of determining the concentration of a solution. It is carried out by measuring the amount of acid in an unknown by the means of titration. 2) Titration is the technique of accurately measuring the volume of a solution required to react with another reagent. 3) Molarity is the most customary way of quantifying concentrations defined as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution. 4) The equivalence point is the moment at which stoichiometrically equivalent quantities are brought together. The end point is when the color change takes place during the titration. The difference is that the equivalence point is a theoretical point. It can only be estimated by observing the end point. 5) Parallax error results from not being at eye level with the meniscus while taking readings from a buret.
