POEMS The Rime of the Ancient Mariner – Samuel T Coleridge Penance, Responsibility, Loneliness. Crazy Eyes (motif) This Lime tree bower my prison – STC Loneliness, mental suffering, realization. Kubla Khan – S T C Nature, power, weak man, Power of thoughts and imagination.  Because I could not stop for death – Emily Dickinson Moon (motif), passion, uplifting death. Personifying death. Rhythmic. 1) Strange fits of Passion have I known – Wordsworth (LUCY POEMS) Obsession, Paranoia, Moon (motif) he thinks Lucy is dead. 2) She dwelt among untrodden ways – Wordsworth Lucy is dead. He suffers because he is the only one who actually  cared about her. 3) A slumber did my spirit seal – Wordsworth Acceptance, no suffering. “Nature” feel. She  becomes  a part of  “nature” Porphyria’s Lover – Browning
