CS 240 Laboratory Exercise 1 The purpose of this laboratory is to familiarize you with some of the basic syntax of Java. The laboratory consists of a series of exercises that explores the use specific syntactic constructs. Complete all the exercises and show the results to your lab instructor. Normally the material needed to complete a laboratory exercise will be covered in lecture the week before it is due. The material needed to complete this laboratory exercise will be covered in lecture THIS week. Because of this unusual situation, you are allowed to submit this laboratory exercise at the beginning of your second laboratory period. Exercise 1.
