Lauren Napolitano Study Questions 9/18/09 1. What is the difference between a closed-ended question and an open-ended question? A closed-ended question is one in which the responses are provided. An open-ended question is one in which the respondents are to answer in his/ her own words. 2. Why are close-ended questions preferred? Closed-ended questions are preferred because they are easier for the respondent to answer and easier to analyze after the survey is complete. 3. What are the four types of survey questions? The four types of survey questions are demographic information, behavioral information, attitudinal information, and measuring knowledge. Demographic information describes a person. Behavioral information describes how a person behaves. Attitudinal information describes a persons thoughts or feelings on something. Measuring knowledge describes how much a person knows about a specific topic. 4. What is an example of a Likert scale?
