REQUIRED MATERIALS TEXT: Audesirk, Audesirk and Byers, BIOLOGY Life on Earth , 7th INDEX CARDS : Each student will take his or her quizzes on a 3" X 5" index card. These are REQUIRED for taking your quiz. Please bring them to class with you EVERY time you attend. Quizzes will not be accepted on anything other than 3" X 5" index cards. INTRODUCTORY BIOLOGY PROGRAM OFFICE: Room 104 LSB, Phone: 578-8239 Biological Sciences 1001 is a General Education Course. Biological Sciences 1001 classes are designed to address several General Education Outcomes including an appreciation of the methods of critical inquiry and a comprehension of how knowledge is acquired and applied. EXAMINATIONS: There will be 4 exams (320 points total). The exams will be 40 multiple choice questions each (2 points per question). Three of the exams will be given during the semester. The fourth exam will be given during Final Exam Week. There is no cumulative final exam . These 4 exams will account for approximately 90% of your grade.
