Unformatted text preview: Using the Canon PowerShot PowerShot A650IS 4 1 2 3 1. Depress to turn camera ON/OFF 2. Toggle to “AUTO” setting 3. Depress to capture images 4. Rotate to Zoom In or Out 1 1. Make sure the camera is on image capture and not playback when taking photos In order to transfer photos to the desktop, first slide the gray button located on the underside of the camera in the direction of the red arrow. Then, slide the cover in the direction of the green arrows. To remove the memory card, simply press it in. The card should then eject. The card will look as so. Take the memory card to the Dell computers near the microscope tables. Place the card into the “SD/mini MMC/RS” slot indicated by the red box. When done correctly, a green light will appears. Once the computer has found the new hardware, choose “Open folder to view files” and hit “Ok”. Open the “DCIM” folder. Open the 100CANON folder. This folder will contain the captured images. From here images can be saved to the hard drive, student webspace, etc. ...
