Lab percentage of Carbon inSodium Bicarbonate
Purpose and HypothesisPurpose: The purpose was to find the experimental and theoretical mass percent of carbon in SodiumBicarbonate.Hypothesis: My hypothesis was that the mass of the beaker, its contents, and weighing dish would be180.9g after the reaction in trial one.

Procedure1.Pour 60mL of vinegar into 250 mL beaker2.Place a weighing dish and the beaker containing the vinegar side by side on the balance3.Record the combined mass of the beaker, vinegar, and weighing dish in the data table4.Weigh out about 1.5 grams of sodium bicarbonate on the weighing dish and record the data5.Record the combined mass of the beaker, weighing dish, sodium bicarbonate, and vinegar6.Slowly and carefully add the sodium bicarbonate to the vinegar in beaker7.
