- Clipped spot weave-either extra shuttle or extra set of warps interlace to creat simple woven design o Extra yarns carried along as float on wrong side of fabric when they don’t appear in design o After cloth completed; long floats may be cut away (clipped); most common  Yarns form eyelash effect o Left un cut(cunclipped) o Sometimes used inside out o Durability depends oncloseness of weave of fabric in to which its woven Dotted swiss—domestic fabric; sheer cotton fabric that uses small clipped spot yarns incontrasting  color to create dotted surface design May e made with flocking or with plastic dots—cheaper - Swivel weave: design made by supplying extra filling on small shuttle or swivel o Filling design yarns carried several times around group of warps by motion of swivel to prevent yarn  from pulling out of background fabric o
