Lloyd Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, Division One, 2000 17 S.W.3d 177 Facts: Two individuals met in Mobile, Alabama where they quickly began a relationship. The names of these individuals were Eubert Gayle Lloyd and Mary Dean Thomas. When Mary returned to Maryland Eubert accompanied her back where they began to live with each other. They had been married in Canada on July 10, 1989. However, this marriage was voided because of Eubert was legally married to someone else. The two however stayed together and sold the property that was owned in Maryland and moved to Missouri where a farm was bought. They made improvements to the farm by adding machinery as well as making the house larger. These improvements that they made had exceeded 201,000 dollars. As their relationship continued to get worse, a lawsuit was brought against Lloyd. Issue:
