My healthy eating habits have improved quite a bit since the first activity that was given in week one. I have balanced my meals a bit better and I put a little more effort in having breakfast, lunch and dinner. My morning eating habits consists of a nig glass of orange juice and a bowl of cereal or toast with jam or jelly. On the weekends, I my have whole grain pancakes scrambled eggs with fruit. Fruit juices are great for the body and help cleanse the body of and nourish it with essential nutrients such as vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, water and it includes cancer-fighting antioxidants. Carbohydrates are found in the pancakes and fruits that I have incorporated in my diet. Carbohydrates provide energy for your body in the structure of glucose, which is the key energy foundation for the mind; the vital nervous system and red blood cells ( Eggs are a good quality resource of protein; and are a vital dietary source of lutein and zeaxanthin and are essential in reducing the danger of severe eye disease ( ). After educating my self, learning from the class and being more interested I know breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. I believe I will keep eating breakfast and I will not resort to my old ways of just having a glass of orange juice or any juice for that matter. For lunch and dinner, I have maintained the similar eating habits, which I believe, are not too unhealthy. For lunch and sometimes dinner, I have a ham, tuna, or a turkey sandwich with regular mayonnaise and whole grain bread with a glass of one hundred percent fruit juice.
