What issue does the editorial present? Citigroup has the potential to revolutionize wealth creation, which is only the most logical step in the editor’s overly optimistic view. After all, the only way to go is up, and a company as large as Citigroup could only spell great things for everyone, right? 2. What is the editorial’s conclusion? The Glass-Steagall Act’s bar of bank holding companies from owning financial companies is holding the operations of Citigroup and others from providing an all-in-one service to customers. Because of Citigroup, now the game has changed and governments must learn to reform outdated laws and embrace these financial companies whose sole purpose is wealth generation. 3.
