However, if a question is transformed by an error into a different , much simpler question then: (i) fewer marks should be awarded at the discretion of the Examiner; (ii) marks awarded should be followed by “ (d) ” (to indicate that these marks have been awarded at the discretion of the Examiner); (iii) a brief note should be written on the script explaining how these marks have been awarded.
