C 8 H 10 N 4 O 2 + CH 3 COOH CH 3 COO- + HC 8 H 10 N 4 O 2 + Equilibrium lies in the direction of the WEAKER acid and base. This is because the stronger acid is better at donating its proton than the weaker, and the stronger base is better at accepting a proton than the weaker base. So the equilibrium points in the direction of the weaker acid and base. In this case, K > 1 which means that products are favored at equilibrium.
