Mohammed Hassan Assignment 2 April 14, 2010 “The Evolution of Walls” by Joseph W. Lestiburek, Ph.D., P.Eng, is a really nice discussion how timber framing have evolved from the past. In the beginning about hundred thousand years ago timber framed was known as Palisade Wall and now it’s know as advanced timber frame. There has been addition to the methods, but the purpose is still the same. Such is to support the roof and to make the interior energy efficient. “In the beginning there was cold and wet, and Hutcheon and Handegord said, “Let there be an enclosure that separates the inside from the outside, and Timusk saw that it was good.””, this quotation explain the idea that we approach from the timber wall. We want to distinguish the interior and exterior wall of house and building. The basis of the word timber wall cladding means to cover one material with another

Fortunately, the only improvement is for exterior wall is to keep thermal heat inside of the house and about every decade a new method is founded. Economically timber cladding is the best choice when coming to choose a way to finish the exterior of new and old structures, well there is exterior timber cladding and there is also interior timber cladding and methods is changing....
